A trip to be relived

There was a lot of excitement at work, my friends had yet again planned for a trip and suprisingly the trip seemed plausible. I was lured by their excitement, wanted to be a part of it and as always luck favored at the last minute and there I was pitching into the excitement.

But our plans are never meant to work out so easily.;) My last minute leave plans caused total chaos at work when my manager finally realised seven people had applied for leave on the same day. My manager( W as we used to call him back then) lost his temper and had a talk with all of us.

The conversation went crazy by the minute with Me and Akshata trying to control our laughter (over call), Rahul contributing to W's rising temper, Satish for a change was trying to control the situation, DP( I am not sure what he was doing.;))
The conversation went something like this:
W: How can you'll do this.
Rahul : Noooo
W: Let me talk
Rahul: Noooooo
W: Get out of my team
Rahul: Noooooooooooooooo
W: I wish I win a lottery and quit my job.

The end result of the conversation, Rahul discovered his punchline: "Nooooooooooo".
And we were all ready to begin our trip to Coorg, a trip which was way way beyond our expectations, a trip which may make any another trip seem boring.:)

Well, here I am, continuing the story exactly 5 years after the trip. Things have changed, none of us work in the same company, all of us don't even stay in the same city. But we still hope that we will have a better trip than this one some day.

I had written about the pre-trip bang earlier. Let me take it from where I stopped. We reached coorg and stayed in this wonderful home stay, it gave me the feel of how hostel life would be staying with friends. We had a blast at Abbi falls, with all the singing including rhymes like "Twinkle twinkle little star". Rahul was so embarrassed to be around us at that point. Felt closer to nature at Irruppu falls as we stood below the majestic structure and played like kids. (Well we were kids. Are we still one? ;) ) The look on Umesh anna's face afterwards (our cab driver), his worry to let us sit back in his car. The jeep ride to Mandalpatti. If heaven existed, I am sure this is how it would be. DP getting scared to climb up the place (Hysterical). The dustbin step pulled on me. The heavy breeze which almost made Supriya fly. ;) Had the best maggi of my life on the ride back in a tea stall. Shocked few people by our eating skills. Rahul stopped eating maggi seeing us. The legendary pillow fight which DP and I started, poor Supriya again. Not to be suprised, that Rahul left the room. Satish's birthday celebration. The awesome food cooked by Rahul, Akshata and Rashmi. DP serving tea as a groom searching for prospects. Akshata giving us 'kayi thuthu' (cant do justice to this word in English). Getting drenched in Coorg rain. Feeling of peace at Mrithunjay temple. We got lucky in all the places we visited, could not be better on the timing. All the games we played in the car. Rashmi's melodious singing. My fights with DP and Satish.

Hope to have another such trip sometime soon.
